NWSP Presents to Neighborhoods
NWSP is dedicated to connecting with the residents of the seven near west side neighborhoods and one way that this is accomplished is by presenting to community groups and neighborhood associations. On January 19th Darrian Davis, Community Outreach Specialist, presented to the Historic Concordia Neighborhood Association (HCNI). The meeting, held at the MillerCoors Visitor Center, was well attended with over 40 residents who heard additional presentations from Ald. Robert Bauman, Rep. Evan Goyke, and Captain Boston-Smith of District #3.
Darrian presented on the recent Revitalize Milwaukee Mini Block Build win announcement, Around the Corner with John McGivern Preview Party at the Tripoli Shrine Center, and the improvements to the Neighborhood of Neighborhoods (NeON) meeting. Residents also heard about the new reduced rate for Avenues West Association luncheons, updates to the NWSP website calendar, how residents can support NWSP with through AmazonSmile, and supporting the newly opened Mobile Design Box.
NWSP is interested in doing more of these presentations to residents and community stakeholders as there is a lot to share with the community. Please attend the NeON meetings if you are able and if would like a presentation, please email NWSP at outreach@nearwestsidepartners.org. You can also keep up to date by signing up for the NWSP e-newsletter and following NWSP on Facebook.
