A Brave Bowling Legend on Vliet
One of the benefits of working in the Near West Side is having the opportunity to meet people with great stories and backgrounds. During Near West Side's Vliet Street Gallery Night I had the opportunity to meet a really interesting man.
Mr. Freddie Sanders, a 80 year old passionate bowler, owns Sanders Super Bowl and has been at this location for over 40 years. He has a very interesting background as he played for the Milwaukee Braves in the mid 1950's and has owned several bowling alleys during his lifetime.
He is still excited about bowling and enjoys the many faces that patronize his business. Although he is interesting in selling Sanders Super Bowl he sees bowling as his passion.
I hope you enjoy this five (5) minute interview with Mr. Sanders and as you learn about him I hope you are also able to peer into this great neighborhood many call home.
