The Voting Process Week Four: In-person Early Voting
October 14 | David Chrisbaum
Over the past couple of weeks we have explained how to register to vote and how to apply for an absentee ballot. Now, it is time to discuss in-person voting options.
From October 20th to November 1st the city of Milwaukee will be holding early voting for voters at a variety of locations around the city. This will allow citizens to avoid the large crowds of voters on election day while also having the support of poll workers.
If you are planning on voting at an in-person early voting station, please visit the Election Commission website for a list of hours and locations. Please note that locations have varying hours.
A few months ago it was publicized that the city of Milwaukee was going to use the Fiserv Forum and Miller Park as early voting polling stations. This would’ve allowed ample space for citizens to vote while still following social distancing practices. Sadly, the election commission came out with a letter stating that the Fiserv Forum and Miller Park will no longer be used as in-person early voting stations.
If you have yet to register to vote, that is okay! If you need guidance please refer to our blog how to register to vote. If you would like to register in person there will be workers at the early voting stations that are trained to help you. Please note that you will not be able to register at these stations from October 31st to November 1st.
